SWIMMING: Tyler Clary wins 200 back gold medal
Orange County-based Tyler Clary upset Ryan Lochte to win the 2012 Olympic Games 200-meter backstroke at the Olympic Aquatics Center Thursday night. Clary set a new Olympic record with a 1 minute, 53.41 second clocking. Lochte was third at 1:53.94.
Excessive heat warning issued for Burbank-Glendale area
It's going to be hot, humid and potentially miserable for at least a couple more days as triple-degree temperatures continue to scorch the Burbank-Glendale region. Highs today could hit 106 degrees, prompting the National Weather Service to issue an excessive heat warning for the area.
